Lets take a look at 2016!

The year started off wonderful!
Full of happiness bringing in the new year at Disneyland and spending it with the family.
We started out in San Diego and worked our way to Anaheim. You can read about that adventure HERE.

And then upon getting back to real life... this. :(
First of February we held Little Mermaid auditions with sad hearts but determination to make it the best show Roswell has ever seen.

March rolled in and that meant my yearly trip to WPPI. I purchased the Lensbaby Edge 50 and LOVE IT!
It's by far my favorite optic to work with in the Lensbaby line.

April was an incredibly busy month with Little Mermaid opening at the end of the month. It was a bittersweet feeling with the end being near, but the experience everyone had was incredible. Little did we know that as one door closed, another one opened. Two days after the show closed, I was approached by someone asking what needed to be done to have Dallas continue directing and bringing amazing theatre to Roswell. I told them that we hadn't really discussed what was next and just like that, our new baby was being born. Neverland Theatre Company came to life.

May was our break. Dallas and I decided to take a trip back to California, but this time to Los Angeles. You can read about that adventure HERE.

In June, I decided to go to alumni band and attempt to play my clarinet again after 2 years collecting dust. No gonna lie, I wasn't half bad! :p
We played my ALL TIME FAVORITE song, October by Eric Whitacre. I posted the photo below and tagged him on Instagram and...
HE LIKED MY POST!!!! I was kinda freaking out to say the least. :D

July was the start of my busiest season. I was already getting emails for high school seniors, planning for the next couple of months.
I also decided to join the movement of Free Photos for Police Families. It was incredible how fast the 15 minute sessions filled up.
I loved meeting every one of the police families, and as I said to each of them and I'll say it again, THANK YOU so much for all you do for this city.
And not only to the police officers, but to the families that allow them to keep all of us safe. ❤

August was another travel month. My family had planned a trip to Oregon to see my grandparents on my dad's side.

On a lighter note, Neverland Theatre had our first (sold out) show of the 2016-2017 season, Always... Patsy Cline.

October was a blur. Dallas and I had something every weekend. I had shoots almost everyday.
Neverland Theatre was hosting their first workshop of stage/zombie makeup.
And to add to the stress, at the end of the month, the year decided it was time to take my grandfather from us as well.
We were all ready to be done with everything.

We finally had a breath of fresh air. My mom was out of the hospital and starting her rehab. My clients were amazing with everything going on. Dallas and I did the Potters Guild again and he was extremely successful this year. Later in the month, we went to Lubbock along with Ryan and Madeline for Thanksgiving and just had a nice time with everyone being together.

The last month, celebration took over. My mom was coming home! Ryan was graduating with his masters!
And 2016 is ending!!

Some other random things to happen this year:

1. I was selected as a winner on Lensbaby for any lens of my choice and I picked up the Twist 60.
2. One of my Edge 50 images is a feature photo on the Lensbaby website.
3. Dallas and I saw Mumford & Sons in the front row and watched a guy get thrown out of the concert.
4. We also discovered a new immersive art museum called Meow Wolf in Santa Fe.
5. Dal & I went to 4 theatre productions throughout the year.
6. Pokemon Go came out in July and Dal & I would spend our afternoons out just wandering around together catching them.
7. I expanded my product line to include a App Portfolio for my clients.
8. The Southwest Printers family expanded to included a little one. Congrats Xan & Leland!
9. One of my photos was featured on Starbucks Canada instagram.
10. I also acquired something very special to me. My great grandma's first camera.
