I will keep this write up sweet and simple! Lensbaby has just launched their newest product, Soft Focus Optic II, and I know I say this about many of their products, but this little optic has made it's way into my bag and will probably stay there for quite some time. As always, with any new product, I feel like there's a little bit of a learning curve in finding the sweet spot that works for you. This updated optic from the original Soft Focus, is much easier to use then it's predecessor due to the built in aperture system. When wide open, you will find the most effect, and after using it for several sessions, my sweet spot was around f4 - f5.6, as you'll see in the photos below. This optic is a part of the optic swap system and can be used in a Composer Pro and Straight body. The SFII also comes with creative bokeh discs that can be dropped in to creative different bokeh looks.
